The Sanson Company Town (Sant Feliu de Llobregat)

In the shadow of Puig d’Olorda (Sant Feliu de Llobregat) and linked to the limestone quarry operations, in the 1950s a worker settlement known as the Colònia Sanson grew up. Practically nothing today exists of the memories and knowledge of the population of Sant Feliu of this phenomenon. The short lifespan of the settlement, its distance from the town itself, the absence of physical traces and the lack of local historiographical interest would seem to be the main reasons behind this neglect. The article published in the Pobles Obrers blog invites an initial process of research serving to offer as complete a narrative as possible of what this experience involved.
